THE CHALLENGE
Kwangl teamed up with UCI (Union Cycliste International) in 2014 to empower their competitions to cycling fans worldwide. Our first joint venture was at the World Track Championships in Cali, followed by Kwangl powering social competitions during the MTB World Cup.

The process was simple. By joining Kwangl.com and tweeting different incentivised hashtags for each event fans could win exclusive prizes.

He wanted to increase his engagement with West Brom’s fans, by using Kwangl.com and 2 incentivised hashtags(#JonasOlsson3 and #JonasOlssonWBA)to run 2 competitions, fans taking part could win a signed pair of boots and a signed shirt.

THE CHALLENGE

THE CHALLENGE

Kwangl was given the task of turning Jack &Jones’ sponsorship of the EHF (European Handball Federation) Champions League interactive.

We incentivised the hashtag that was displayed on the LCD system. People who followed the instructions to join Kwangl.com and then tweeted the hashtag would receive a competition code to enter a real-time draw at the end of the matches to win 1 of 8 €100 Jack&Jones vouchers.

European Handball Federation

THE CHALLENGE

In 2014 the European Handball Federation used the Kwangl platform to create the world’s first socially interactive LED advertising at a sports event.

The EHF wanted to give away two VIP tickets to the season finale, the Final4 in Cologne. Fans had to join our platform Kwangl.com then tweet the hashtag(#FINAL4VIP) revealed on the LED system.

Participants received their competition codes together with sponsor driven content in their email address.

Kwangl collated the competition codes in real-time so the winners were announced immediately after the match.


THE REACTION

Peter Vargo, Managing Director of EHF Marketing stated:

‘This was a trial of the Kwangl software and what it could do and we were very happy with the results. Being able to run a competition during a match on the LED system gave the feeling to TV viewers of being part of the event. Using the Kwangl platform, Modo Hockey club of Sweden wanted to run fan engagement competitions which utilised the newly installed WiFi facility in their stadium. By joining Kwangl and tweeting the incentivised hashtags, fans could win money-can't-buy prizes
